We had a lovely time in Granada. The students were absolutely exhausted with the heat. We had a lovely day at the Alhambra Palace. We wandered around the big palaces and then back down the hill to the city and our hotel pool to rest. On our way to Granada we met some wonderful people on the train. Maria Louisa and her grandson Nacho. On our way back from the Alhambra some students ran into them again on the city bus and they made a plan to hang out with Nacho. The students played hide and seek in the hotel and hung out in the pool. Sra. Gomez had a ´granizado´ with Maria Louisa and Sra. Rosa slept! Here are a few pictures from our time in Granada.

Sevilla!
Here we are in Sevilla! It´s about 40 degrees Celsius...nearly 100 degrees! We have been busy, but also trying to stay cool!
We visited the Plaza de toros, had a tour of the bull ring and didn´t have to see a bull fight at all!
There are only the ¨minor¨ leagues this summer and they start on the 1st. These are the young bull fighters that can be 16 years old!
We also had a nap and avoided the heat and then went for a stroll at night together and had dinner...it was about midnight when we had our tapas! Quite a cultural difference. Then, a stop for ice cream!
We slept in a bit today and had a visit at the cathedral and then back to the hotel to rest. We´re about ready to watch the Spain vs. Portugal game...Javi got a reservation for dinner for us at a nearby restaurant!!!
We will watch the game and then hope to find some spontaneous flamenco song and dance...however, that won´t be until after midnight when things cool down temperature wise here!
We send besos and abrazos!
